CashewFest 2027 — A boutique music festival in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

A boutique music festival with a serious lineup, homegrown in Fairfield County.

One unforgettable day of live music built around exceptional artists, professional production, and an audience that comes to listen.

About

A celebration of love that kept going

CashewFest began in June 2025 as a celebration of love, community, and music: extraordinary artists of uncommon depth and originality, artisan food we still think about regularly, uncompromising commitment to the highest standards in sound production, and an open invitation to be part of it all.

What happened was more than a party. Full sets of original music carried a quintessentially sunny summer afternoon into the evening like a cool breeze. There were hand-painted signs and keepsake wristbands, flower crowns and a jazz patio, friends everywhere you looked. And because the production was top-notch, the music sparkled.

So we’re doing it again. CashewFest is becoming a recurring festival: small by design, thoughtfully curated, and built with the same care that made the first one feel special. The goal is to let it grow without losing the intimacy, warmth, and sense of discovery that made it shine in the first place.

The name, since you asked: “Cashew” is an affectionate nickname we use for each other that stuck, so we put it on the arch and made it into a music festival.

Artists first

Fair pay, unhurried soundchecks, a green room worth sitting in, and an audience that shows up on time. Performers are the reason there is a festival at all.

Small on purpose

Intimacy is not a limitation we are working around. It is the format. You will be close enough to see the fretwork.

Produced properly

Professional sound and lighting, a schedule that runs, and design details that reward paying attention. Homemade in spirit, not in execution.

The experience

What the day feels like

No hour-long walk between sets. No fine print, no upgrades, no bad spots. One thoughtfully built day, front to back.

  1. Everything within earshot

Two rooms and a patio, all within a few hundred feet of each other. Wander off for food or a quieter corner and you are still in it — no twenty-minute walk, no choosing a side of a field.

  2. An intimate crowd

Capacity stays small so the room stays close. You will not be watching a screen of the stage.

  3. Sound worth the trip

Professional engineers, properly specced PA, and the time to get it right before doors open.

  4. Food, drink, and jazz

The outdoor patio runs all day: real food, a short and considered drinks list, and jazz and bluegrass playing to anyone who wants to sit down and hear themselves think.

  5. Things to make and do

Flower crowns, paint-by-number canvases, and the odd competition with a genuinely good prize. Bring your hands.

  6. Signage you’ll want to steal (and you can)

Hand-designed wayfinding, wristbands and badges you get to take home. The small stuff is where a festival tells you how much it cares.

Community

Grown here, shared here

CashewFest is small, but it was never meant to be private. Fairfield County is full of people who make music for a living and people who teach it, sell it, repair it and champion it. The 2027 edition is being built to give them the day too — a place on the bill and a place on the field.

A morning for local voices

Before the headline sets begin, we want the day to open with the county's own: school and community choirs, youth ensembles, teachers' bands. A real stage, professional sound, and an audience already in their seats.

A row for local music

Booths for the teachers, studios, luthiers and shops who keep music alive here the other 364 days a year — meeting the families who have been looking for exactly them.

Prizes worth entering for

Giveaways and raffles built with local partners: lessons, instruments, gear, a table for four. Attention and money that stay in the county.

Access we take seriously

Cost should not be the reason a family misses this. We would rather solve that properly, with partners who care about the same thing, than with a discount code.

None of this is locked yet — which is exactly why now is the moment to talk. If you teach, sell, repair or organize music anywhere near Fairfield County, we would like to build this with you.
